Privacy
Shannon.ie does not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles. We do not share your email address with third parties unless you explicitly ask us to forward something on your behalf.
When you fill out the contact form, we receive only what you type into the fields: your name, email address, and message. That information is stored in our email system and used solely to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list or pass your details to partners.
Technical logs, IP addresses, browser types, page requests, are kept briefly for security and reliability. These logs help us spot malicious traffic, diagnose broken links, and understand which guides are most useful. They are not linked to your identity and are rotated out after a few weeks.
Shannon.ie does not use tracking cookies for advertising. We may use a simple analytics tool to count visits and measure page performance, but it does not follow you across the web or build a profile of your behavior.
If you email us directly, outside the contact form, your message is stored in our email provider's system under their privacy terms. We do not forward, sell, or publish your email without permission.
We do not collect payment information. Shannon.ie is funded by display advertising and occasional partnerships, none of which require you to create an account or hand over financial details.
If you believe we have mishandled your information, or if you want us to delete a message you sent, email us through the contact page with the details. We will confirm the action within a few business days.
Third-party services, hosting, email, analytics, have their own privacy policies. We choose providers with reasonable data practices, but we do not control their terms. If you want to know how they handle your data, check their policies directly.
Shannon.ie is a small operation. We do not have the appetite or the infrastructure for surveillance. We collect only what we need to keep the site running and respond to your questions.
